Join YPF for its second quarter Speaker Series featuring Vince Foster, Chairman and CEO of Main Street Capital Corporation, on Thursday June 7, 2012 at 6:30pm at Rice University.  Vince co-founded Main Street and will be sharing his experiences as an entrepreneur and investor as well as providing a brief overview of Main Street Capital and business development companies (BDCs) as an asset class.

Main Street Capital is a publicly traded investment firm focused on providing debt and equity capital to middle and lower middle market US companies.  It has assets under management of $800 million and investments across 74 companies.

Mr. Foster co-founded and has acted as co-managing partner or chief executive of several Main Street predecessor funds and entities dating back to 1997.  He currently serves on the board of directors of Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE: PWR) and Team, Inc. (NASDAQ: TISI).  Quanta was co-founded by a predecessor Main Street fund and is now an S&P 500 company with market capitalization in excess of $4 billion.  Throughout his investment career, Mr. Foster has served on several other public and private company boards.

Prior to his association with Main Street, Mr. Foster had a 19 year career with Arthur Andersen, including 9 years as a partner of Andersen Worldwide. Mr. Foster directed Andersen’s Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions practice for the Southwest US and specialized in working with companies involved in consolidating their respective industries.

Mr. Foster graduated from Michigan State University in 1978 where he earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting. He attended both Wayne State University Law Center and the University of Houston Law School, earning his JD degree from the former.

Mr. Foster received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award for 2008 in the financial services category for the Houston & Gulf Coast Area.
