Private Equity Firm Seeks Experienced Financial Analyst
This position will be based in Nashville, TN
Based in Dallas and Nashville, Pharos Capital Group currently has approximately $600 million in capital under management through three private equity funds. Pharos primarily invests $10 to $30 million in companies seeking later stage private equity funding for internal growth, acquisitions, management buyouts or recapitalizations across industry sectors, with particular focus on healthcare and business services.
The Financial Analyst is an integral part of the private equity investment decision making process. Among other duties, the Analyst is responsible for reviewing and screening potential investment opportunities, completing thorough financial modeling and due diligence, monitoring and assisting the existing portfolio of investments, and reporting the results of our portfolio to our investors. The Analyst will have the opportunity to be trained by Wall Street veterans at one of the largest and fastest growing firms in the region. The successful candidate is someone who is highly analytical, quantitative, takes initiative and demonstrates the ability to handle significant responsibility. Job Description: Financial/Acquisitions Analyst
Summary
Company is a boutique real estate investment/management firm that currently owns/operates a portfolio of over 10,000 distressed residential lots ranging from raw land to operating master planned communities in major markets across the US. The company has relationships with large capital partners as well as some of the industry’s largest public and private owners/investors of distressed land portfolios that have positioned them in a high growth situation. You will join a highly skilled and experienced team of professionals based in Dallas.
Prior land experience is not required. This team will teach you what you need to know but you must possess “raw horsepower” when it comes to finance/real estate transactions with an ability and desire to learn quickly and wear many hats.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to support the team members in all facets of investment, asset management and investor reporting/communications including:
- Underwriting/Due Diligence/Modeling of new acquisition opportunities
- Prepare financial performance analysis on portfolio for clients
- Compile, analyze and interpret market research
- Prepare ARGUS based real estate cash flow modeling
- Assist in the preparation of documents to be presented to the Investment Committee
- Asset Management of existing portfolio
- Lot take down management/reporting

Position Opportunity:
Learn the discipline of arranging debt and equity financing for commercial real estate developers, investors and owners. Candidate will work directly with Scott Lynn, Founder/Owner of Metropolitan Capital on his deals as well as provide analysis support to senior partners who act as mentors that proactively train and teach on live / real time transactions. Successful completion of the analyst program has consistently resulted in a transition to a Senior Director role at MCA with unlimited earning potential.
Position Description:
- Developing pro‐forma financials
- Gathering and evaluating economic, demographic and real estate market data
- Preparing presentations, offering memoranda and financial reports
- Reviewing and analyzing legal documents and other materials as part of the due diligence process or as part of on‐going property oversight
- Aiding in the preparation of proposals, presentations and reports
- Conducting market research utilizing internal and external resources, as well as self‐generated surveys
- Interacting with clients, prospective buyers and investors.
